Lean six sigma

The following webpages present thought pieces for data and advanced analytics at the intersection of Lean Six Sigma:

Fat Control the Lean Six Sigma Way: The evidence is that two thirds of the American population is now overweight and obese. Something is wrong. We seem to be helpless. Is it because we are not applying the principles and practices of Lean Six Sigma to the problem?

Terrific Bad News for Lean Six Sigma: The “bad” news is that the quantitative methods of DMAIC are behind the curve. The “terrific” news is that the quantitative methods are behind the curve. By moving to the front of the curve, the reality of Lean Six Sigma will finally catchup with the vision of Lean Six Sigma. The article explains how that happened and how to move to the front of the curve.

Up-Skill to New Age

The greatest competitive advantage out of being data-driven lies in a firm’s organizational ability to work the five new-age questions as compared to being restricted to intelligence—why and how in contrast to only what, when and where. This suggests that firms must find practical strategies for up-skilling its operatives, managers and subject matter experts to work the questions. The thrust of all strategies can be that up-skilling will occur for individuals engaged in building and using data analytic insight deliverables. That is the subject of the articles.  The articles are available in mobile-friendly form via the webpage titled, "Up-Skill To New Age."
